Movie Night

Join us for our first ever Regent Community-wide event for the year! We’re inviting the Regent Community to come out for a Movie Night at the Burswood Telethon Outdoor Cinema on the 6th of April 2024. It will be a great opportunity for families to connect during the school holidays and unwind after a busy start to the year.

MIGRATION | 6.30pm

A family of ducks decides to leave the safety of a New England pond for an adventurous trip to Jamaica. However, their well-laid plans quickly go awry when they get lost and wind up in New York City. The experience soon inspires them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends, and accomplish more than they ever thought possible.

TROLLS BAND TOGETHER | 8.15pm

Poppy discovers that Branch and his four brothers were once part of her favourite boy band. When one of his siblings, Floyd, gets kidnapped by a pair of nefarious villains, Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop culture obscurity.

Important Points To Note

  • All ticket purchases are done via the Telethon Community Cinema’s website by families themselves. Regent College will not be taking any bookings.
  • We encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment as the space has limited seating capacity.
  • Families are free to choose any purchase configuration that is available to them at the website.
  • While we’re asking the community to come together on this day, this event is not exclusive to Regent College as the space will be shared with other cinema goers.
  • We plan to gather at the front right section of the cinema grounds where bean bags, rugs and chairs are allowed. We encourage you to arrive by 5.30pm to ‘book’ your space.  (See designated area)
  • Families are responsible for their own children. 
  • You may bring a picnic basket if you wish. There will also be food and drinks at the premises for purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

You are free to invite other family members and friends as the cinema is open to the public. 

You may choose to bring a picnic rug, recliners, camping chairs and some snack and drinks if you wish. Bean bags and fold up chairs are available for hire at $7.

Bring along a cardigan or jacket as the night may get a little chilly. 

You are free to come and go as you wish. There is no requirement to stay for entire length of any of the movies.

Angus Beef Pies, Mixed Vegetable Rolls and Hungry Man Sausage Rolls are available for $4.50.

An assortment of fizzy drinks and bottled water are also available. For more info and options, please refer to their website.
