Extra Curricular Information

The following is a list of extra curricular activities, by term, for 2021

 

CHESS TUITION (This activity is currently full)

Chess Tution is a private extra-curricular program offered after school to students in years 1 to 6 by Chess Coach, Tatyana Igonina.

Please note that places are strictly limited. Completing an application form does not guarantee a position in the Chess Program. If registrations exceed the number of positions available, your child may be placed on a waiting list.

CHOIR

Choir is held every Wednesday lunchtime from Week 1 in the Music Room from 12:40pm - 1:05pm.
Students are required to commit to the choir for a minimum of one semester and are required to attend weekly rehearsals.

RUN CLUB (registrations essential each term)

Run Club registrations are open to students in years 1-6 and is held each Monday and Friday during the term, commencing from 7:45am to 8:25am. Registrations are essential for this activity as places are limited.  

  • Mondays at River foreshore (meet at the College)
  • Fridays at Raphael Park.

MANDARIN TUITION (limited positions)

Mandarin Tution is a private extra-curricular program offered after school to students in Pre-Primary to Year 6 by Tutor, Eileen Song. 

About Eileen Song:

Eileen was born in Shenyang City in North Eastern China. It is one of 3 provinces in China that only speaks Standard Mandarin without any local dialect. She began teaching Mandarin in Singapore in 1992 to foreigners and students on a part-time basis. Eileen migrated to Australia in 2008 with her husband and daughter and is currently full time teaching Mandarin and Abacus and Mental Arithmetic. She is holding both TCSOL and TQUK. After teaching in Perth for nine years, she has developed a set of teaching material which provide children a fun and efficient way of learning Mandarin in reading, speaking, listening and writing. This teaching materials are suitable for both zero foundation in Mandarin and for those who can speak however unable to read. There are more than 100 students who are benefit from this program.  

Classes are conducted in small groups with places in the program strictly limited. Places are offered based on availability, skills and ability. For more information, please contact the Program Coordinator HERE.
